Is this the right page if my air conditioner is just broken?

What does a central AC installation cost in Markham?
Central air runs $3,500 to $5,500 depending on capacity, efficiency and whether the ductwork needs modification. Ductless starts around $3,000 for a single zone and $6,000 and up for multi-zone. Our Cornell house still has the original furnace and AC. Do both at once?
Usually yes, and the reason is mechanical rather than commercial. The indoor coil lives inside the furnace cabinet, so replacing either one means opening the other. Doing both together gets you a matched coil, condenser and blower, one round of labour and one disruption instead of two a year apart.
Can you add central air to a Thornhill house that has never had it?
Often, but the ducts decide it. Heating-only duct systems from the 1970s and 1980s are frequently too small to carry cooling airflow, especially on the return side. We measure before quoting. If the ducts need work you will see that in the estimate, and if a ductless system is the better answer for your house we will say so.
Is there a rebate on a new air conditioner?
In-house rebates available. Ask at your quote. We don't file government rebate paperwork for customers. Ontario's Home Renovation Savings Program does not cover a standalone air conditioner; it covers cold-climate heat pumps, which give you heating and cooling from one system. We also offer Enbridge Sustain lease-to-own with nothing down.
