We look at the space, venting, gas line and ductwork, and run a Manual J load calculation so the furnace is sized to your house, not to the old nameplate.

We walk through efficiency, single-stage vs two-stage vs modulating, and brand options, with a written quote before you commit.

Installation Day
Old unit out, new furnace set, venting, gas and electrical connected, thermostat wired. Most installs take 4 to 8 hours.

Test and Walkthrough
Combustion and safety test, a full heat cycle, a walkthrough of the new system with you, and cleanup before we leave.

What Affects the Price of a Furnace Installation

Furnace type
Single-stage, two-stage and modulating furnaces sit at different price points. Higher efficiency costs more up front and less to run.
Home size and heat loss
Square footage, insulation, windows and air leakage set the size. The load calculation decides it, not a rule of thumb.
Venting and ductwork
Moving from a mid-efficiency to a high-efficiency condensing furnace usually means new PVC venting. Damaged or undersized ducts add work.
Gas, electrical and access
Gas line changes, electrical work, and a tight basement or crawlspace can add labour time.
Brand and warranty
Premium modulating models cost more than value lines. Warranty length varies by brand, model and registration.
Add-ons
A new thermostat, AC coil, humidifier or air filtration added at the same time changes the total.

How long does a furnace installation take in Toronto?
Most furnace installations take 4 to 8 hours and finish in one day. If the job needs ductwork changes or new venting, which is common when going from an older mid-efficiency furnace to a high-efficiency condensing model, it can run into a second day. How do you size a furnace for my home?
With a Manual J load calculation, not by copying the size of the old furnace. We account for square footage, insulation, windows, air leakage and layout. An oversized furnace short-cycles, wears out faster and still leaves rooms uneven; an undersized one runs nonstop on the coldest days.
What furnace brands do you install?
We are an Authorized Lennox Dealer and also install Goodman, Ducane, Daikin and Kepler. We recommend a model based on your home and budget, and every unit is installed by TSSA-certified technicians.
