BetterHomesTO
Up to $125K Home Energy Loan
Megacity offers in-house rebates — ask at your quote. We don't file government rebate paperwork for customers. Some government programs, including the Home Renovation Savings heat-pump rebate, are submitted by a contractor registered with that program; others, like Save on Energy's Energy Affordability Program, you apply to yourself. The program details below are the program's own rules as of September 2026. Toronto homeowners can borrow up to $125,000 at low interest through the City of Toronto's HELP loan, repaid through the property tax bill.
How the Loan Works on a Heat Pump
Here's how HELP funding looks for an example heat pump install. You apply to the City directly.
Heat pump projects qualify for terms up to 20 years. The City's own payment table shows estimated instalments by loan amount and term.
Do You Qualify?
The program is restricted to City of Toronto homeowners installing qualifying energy upgrades. The City confirms eligibility when you apply.
Outside Toronto? In-house rebates and Enbridge Sustain $0 down lease-to-own are available across the GTA. See how the Ontario heat pump rebate works →
